The Gallatin Valley Food Bank is a tax exempt non-profit agency under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Tax Code, operating under the umbrella of the Human Resource Development Council of District IX, Inc. (HRDC).  Further, the HRDC is a publicly supported organization of the type described in sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi).  Donors may deduct contributions to the Food Bank as provided in section 170 of the code.
